It's been far too long!!!

I just realized it has been over a year since I have blogged last. Man that is a LONG time and alot has happened. I will spare you all the details about that and just start with a few updates and try to keep up with this this time :)

For Christmas I made my sister in-law a great present and I wanted to share the finished project with you. I made her a filing system for each kiddos projects and things she wants to keep. This provides a location to put all those items and organizes them nicely. I found the idea on Pinterest but that idea was pretty plan so I had to add some stuff to it.

First step is getting a plastic hanging file folder tub and hanging file folders. I also bought a few scrapbook stuff to decorate things.

Once home I decided to decorate the front of the tub. I didn't really have a great idea on how to do it but I just glued a decorated scrap book paper to the inside of the tub and then used letter stickers on the front.

The next step was to decorate the front of the file folders. I only did a few so she could decorate them with things they were into that year.

Here is the one I made for Lilly, everything she did at the age of 1 can be put in here. I felt room so my sister in-law can add a photo to the front if she would like.

This one is for Ethan. This one is his newborn folder. I left it somewhat plan so she could add details like birth time and weight and even a picture.

The last step was to put the labels on the file folders and place them in the tub.

There you have it!!! It is a great thing for all moms to have. It keeps all those projects and papers you want to keep in one location. Later the kids can easily go back and look at things they did when they were younger. My sister in-law LOVED it and couldn't wait to go home and start putting things into it. She was excited to get rid of random piles of papers she was wanting to keep but didn't have anywhere to put them.
